An old car is now used as a hayric

An old car that has seen better days and can no longer be cajoled into life is now used as a hayrick. In the first world it would be scrapped, but in Africa another use is found for it. It also reminds the neighbours that once upon a time the home owner possessed a car. The car bears witness to the fact that there used to be families in the villages who were doing really well and who had acquired a taste for progress. Old clapped out cars are no rarity in some rural areas.
